Meet Amanda Humphrey
Amanda’s 13 year ballet and dance career has taken her far, both domestic and abroad. She has been accepted to and trained at many esteemed, professional ballet and dance academies, some of which include:
-Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle, WA;
-Ballet Chicago, Chicago, IL;
-Charlotte Ballet, Charlotte, NC;
-Chautauqua Institution, Upstate NY;
-Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, NY;
-DanceArts, Vienna, Austria;
-Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory
-Intensive Program, Sotogrande, Spain;
-Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory of New York, NYC.
In addition to her training and performing, Amanda also competed in the 2017 European Ballet Grand Prix in Vienna, Austria. From 180 students of 30 countries, Amanda received 1st place in the contemporary category and the highest-score in the classical ballet portion for her age group. At the 2018 European Ballet Grand Prix, she received the highest score for classical variations in her age category.
Amanda not only loves dance but also recognizes the gift and privilege it is to teach and mentor. She loves the Beautiful Feet Dance Studio family and feels extremely blessed to share her love of dance with her students.
Meet Krista Grove
Miss Krista discovered her love for dance at age five, growing up near Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. She was a student at T.A.G. dance productions, and eventually traveled throughout the U.S. for six years with the competitive dance team from the Trixie Hardy Dance Studio of Sault Sainte Marie, Ontario. It was at the Sherry Walsh Dance Academy, also in Sault, Ontario that she achieved her Associate Dance Teachers Certification in Jazz, from the British Association of Teachers of Dance (BATD).
While still a student in High School, Miss Krista began her teaching career with Just Dance of Saint Ignace, implementing satellite programs for area schools, to bring the art of dance to outlying areas. At Just Dance, she was a prominent fixture, teaching primarily Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Pom Pons, Cabaret, and Lyrical to students of all ages. Most recently, she was an instructor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan where she choreographed and worked behind the scenes for numerous full-scale theatrical productions.
With over 20 years of dance experience and nearly eighteen years of teaching experience, Miss Krista looks forward to sharing her talents and love of dance with her new family at Beautiful Feet Dance Studio, for many years to come.
Meet Melody Hovie
Melody grew up in Napa, CA and resided there until she and her twin brother Micah, graduated High School. Growing up in Napa allowed for Melody to attend bilingual schools and develop a fluency in the Spanish language as well as develop strong foundatinos in many dance styles. She has been able to travel to Spanish speaking coutries and share her passion for dance with locals through teaching classes as well as compete and win a grand national title with NDA in Orlando, Florida.
Melody has had many opportunities to teach dance at local dance and fitness studios as well as participate in community events in Northern California. She has not only worked as a dance and fitness instructor and coach, but has worked as a Firefighter with CAL FIRE. Since moving to Michigan, Melody plans to continue education and training in Pilates and Nursing in the future.
Meet Bri Cleveland
Bri grew up in Napa, California and piqued an interest in dance when she was in middle school. A friend showed her how to do the worm and the robot, and she was instantly hooked on hip hop. She enrolled in a Street Dance class offered Napa High School where she learned about the history of hip hop, as well as various styles including breaking, popping, locking, and funk styles. She attended UC Davis, where she majored in Exercise Biology, and joined a student-run hip hop dance crew called Mobility, and was a director and choreographer from 2008- 2010.Over the years, she has had the opportunity to take classes from some of the biggest influencers in the hip hop world including Poppin’ Pete, Tabitha D’umo, Mari Martin, and the Jabbawockeez. Bri moved to Petoskey in 2013, where she currently lives with her husband, Clint and son, Grayson. In 2018, she became licensed as a Massage Therapist and also started teaching hip hop at Beautiful Feet Dance Studio. She is excited to work with our Junior and Senior Company teams this year!
Meet Erin Miller
Erin Miller became a full-time Harbor Springs resident last year with her husband, Patrick, and three children, Jack, Sam, and Claire. Miller started taking ballet when she was three years old, training in Cecchetti and Vaganova Ballet techniques. She later received her Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University in Secondary Education English and Spanish as well as a Minor in Dance. Miller furthered her studies resulting in a Master’s Degree in Education from Oakland University. She then went on to become the Ballet Director of The Academy of the Arts - home of the Jackson Dance Company. Miller instructed and choreographed there for eight years. She choreographed several original ballet pieces and received many high awards at dance competitions. As well as competition dance work, Miller also co-choreographed and co-directed Nutcracker for the Academy of the Arts.

Meet Parker Marshall
Parker Marshall is a self-taught street dancer who spent the past eight years in LA as a salesman, and among other things, dancing professionally as a wedding crasher with the The Flashdance DJ's:. An LA based professional DJ collective. Parker started training in high school, practicing to videos of Michael Jackson and Soul Train, so he could impress girls at prom, and subsequently fell in love with dancing as an art form. After frequenting underground funk and soul clubs in LA to "shake the stress away" from his day jobs, he befriended pioneering soul dancers, motown music royalty, and professional DJ's who subsequently hired him for gigs, shows, weddings and even bar mitzvahs.
Though he misses LA nightlife, he's happy to be home after being gone for so long, and is excited to bring his disco-funk, hip hop, jazz and soul moves back to Petoskey.
Meet Abigail Rogier
Abigail Rogier was born and raised in Highland, IL were she started dancing competitively at the age of 3 at Jane Mannion’s School of Dance, and later on at Innovative Movement Dance Company. She trained in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, lyrical, hip hop, and modern under reputable teachers and choreographers such as Erica Sobol, Mollee Gray, Christy Fisher, Kelly Fulton, Kyle Hill, and many more. In addition to dancing at a studio, she was on the Varsity Dance Team all four years of high school, and was a co-captain her senior year. After high school, Abigail went to school at The Young Americans College of Performing Arts located in southern California where she continued her dance training under dance instructors, Robyn Brawley and J.R. Gooseberry, as well as training in singing and acting. Going to this college gave her the opportunity to travel to Germany, Japan, and all across the United States. While traveling, she taught dance, song, and theatre to thousands of kids, and performed over 100 shows for audiences of all ages. She has recently received her Associate of Arts degree in Performance with a Dance Emphasis, and moved up to northern Michigan to start a new chapter of her life. Her goal is to inspire her students like her teachers did to her, and bring joy and passion to them through dance.
