Class Descriptions
Lovable Littles Ballet/Tap/Tumbling Lovable Littles is the perfect first dance class for dancers ages 2-4. This class is an introduction to ballet, tap, tumbling, and creative movement. Dancers will have fun alongside their classmates as they learn to follow directions, explore musicality, and improve their coordination!
KinderKids Ballet/Tap/Tumbling KinderKids Ballet/Tap/Tumbling is a combination class for students 5-6. Class time lays the foundation for their dance technique. Students will work on their rhythm and musicality, overall coordination, and continue to explore their creativity.
Ballet Ballet is the foundation of MANY dance techniques. In ballet classes, students will learn technique, discipline, flexibility, and grace. Class time consists of barre work, exercises in the center, and locomotive work across the floor.
Lyrical/Contemporary Lyrical/Contemporary dance classes pull from jazz and ballet technique. Dancers use movement to relate to the music and tell a story. Class time consists of a warm-up, progressions across the floor, and dance combinations filled with emotion. A perfect match for dancers looking to express themselves. All lyrical/contemporary classes require student to also be in a ballet class.
Hip Hop In this high energy class, students will learn a wide range of hip-hop dance styles including popping, locking, and break dancing. Hip-hop dancing is seen everywhere in pop culture today. Hip-hop is a great choice for dancers that want to listen to familiar music and have FUN bringing their personality into class.
Jazz/Musical Theater Jazz classes consist of a warm-up, progressions across the floor, and a fun combination. Dancers will learn to leap, turn, and coordinate a wide range of movements. In this upbeat class, students will be exposed to various jazz styles including Broadway and contemporary. All Jazz classes require the student to also be in a ballet class.
Leaps & Turns This is a technique focused class designed for our intermediate to advanced level dancers. We will break down individual skills and give dancers more feedback and time to perfect their skills! This class is a wonderful supplement to dancers already enrolled in lyrical or jazz.
Tap Tap dance is an American art form that originated in the 1800s. Tap dancers develop a strong sense of rhythm and musicality, and sound. Students will be exposed to several styles of tap dance including Broadways and rhythm tap.
Dance Acro In our dance acro class, students will learn to blend dance with acrobatic elements. Expect improved flexibility, strength, and control. This class is a great supplement to jazz and lyrical classes.
Company Dancers are required to audition for our company. Dancers work in rehearsals to create pieces they take to several regional competitions. In our company, dancers work intensively alongside their teammates to reach their potential. Please visit our company page for additional information.
